STATE RELEASES NEW REQUIREMENTS FOR SUMMER PROGRAMS ACCEPTING SUBSIDY
The State of New Jersey has issued its new requirements for summer youth camp programs accepting child care subsidies. The federal CCDBG Reauthorization Act of 2014 increased the health and safety requirements of all child care and early learning settings that accept child care subsidies, including youth camps. NEW JERSEY UPDATED CHILD RESTRAINT LAW WENT INTO EFFECT ON SEPTEMBER 1, 2015
New Jersey Governor Chris Christie signed a bill into law that amended New Jersey's child restraint law on May 7, 2015. The new law took effect on Tuesday, September 1.

NEW REGULATIONS FOR FAMILY, FRIEND & NEIGHBOR (FFN) CHILD CARE PROVIDERS!
Effective July 1, 2014, prospective new providers must meet all health and safety requirements as described below. Existing providers must meet Child Care Development Fund (CCDF) health and safety requirements by December 31, 2014.

REPORT HIGHLIGHTS HIGH COST OF CHILD CARE IN NJ
"The cost of quality child care is out of reach for too many families," states Rebekka Zydel, president of NJACCRRA. "As a result of increasing child care costs and the current economy, some parents have been forced to perform a balancing act between supplying basic necessities or covering child care costs to remain in the workforce in order to have income to adequately provide for their families."

DFD RELEASES NEW ECC TRAINING VIDEOS

OPERATION CHILD CARE
Looking for child care providers to donate four or more hours of child care to service members of the National Guard or Reserve who are on R & R from Operations Iraqi Freedom or Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. UPDATE YOUR RECORDS ONLINE
Providers can now update information on program information such as fees and schedules electronically by clicking on the Web Updates link from the menu at the left side of the page. This will provide a technology option for providers with access to the Internet and minimize paperwork. Simply complete the appropriate form and submit - it's that easy!
